Here are a few tips I will be using this black Friday. You know I love a good retail therapy but if there is one thing i have learnt during lockdown is doing thing with intention not impulse.
1. Make a budget and try to stick to it.
2. Make a list of purchases: A list helps you stay focused and allows you assess your home, tech or wardrobe on what you need or want.
3. Scale of preference: Once your list is made you should categorize. For example, by What I need to what I want or the most expensive item to least expensive item. This way you can ensure you don’t overspend and stick to your budget
4. Compare shops for items: I want a new pair of boots so I will look at similar styles on various online stores this way you can compare discount on that item, quality and details or style.
5. Do not buy anything impulsively: Do not just buy everything or anything make sure you love it not just like the item. When your package arrives if it does fit or not suitable then return it. Again walk to the post office and return it if you can. Ensure you read return policies on items before purchasing.
6. Shop around existing items in your wardrobe: This way you save yourself from buying items that will be dormant, because you have nothing to wear it with. This has happened too many times to me, so I talk from experience.
Finally have a fun time shopping this black Friday and i hope nothing sell out on you.
